Shopping in Rotterdam

Among the main shopping streets in Rotterdam (Coolsingel, Binnenwegplein, Lijnbaan and Beurstraverse) lies the familiar brands. You can also come across second-hand book and record sellers in the side streets around Markthal. Below you can find the local book and gift shops that I have visited.

Donner Bookhandel

Donner bookhandel was locals’ recommendation and I can see why as it was the place I enjoyed the most. It is possible to find books in different languages, postcards, souvenirs, stationery and toys in this multi-story bookstore. You can spend hours if you want to wander around in detail. When I was in there, there was a private event with one of the authors I assume as the event was being held in Dutch.

Things I Love Things I Like

A place where you can find beautiful products in different types such as clothes, jewelry and notebooks. A simple and stylish boutique; Of course, the prices are a bit higher but affordable. Even visiting this store is enjoyable, I recommend you stop by.

It’s A Present

It offers many different gift products from cards to cups and notebooks. I especially liked the suggestive writings they chose, but I didn’t buy anything since I had shopped enough until then. By the way, there also have LGBTQ+ friendly, related products.

In’t Wild

It was a place I went to with a local recommendation. There are also very nice gift items here, there are also designer products, but I was a little upset to see that the products I bought in Maastricht were priced higher here. That’s why I didn’t feel like shopping.

Søstrene Grene

This place offers different products from home goods to skin care, from children’s toys to party themes. I can also say that the prices are reasonable. Although it is not very unique in Dutch simplicity, you can visit for nice products.

Apart from those above, Voorlopig can be visited for gift items and Boekhandel De Slegte Rotterdam for books.
